Howard has been practicing yoga for nearly 40 years and has been teaching for the last 17 years. His first class was with a teacher who taught Kripalu yoga, then he moved on to Iyengar yoga before finding Paula and taking teacher training with her to receive certification in TriYoga Basics.
As he has traveled through the yoga landscape, Howard has picked up a lot of yoga techniques, but because yoga is a growing and learning journey, he finds there is always more to learn and experience.
He also feels that yoga is a cumulative process, but from day one, it delivers its calming benefits. In his words, “If you are closed, it will open you; if you are open, it will nurture you; if you are nurtured, it will allow you to grow.” Howard’s classes are gentle, with the goal of getting you completely relaxed.
Howard is a graphic artist and a sculptor. Now retired, he has worked in television and at educational institutions.
Howard's Certifications: Certified TriYoga Instructor
