Our Practitioners

Paula Sam | Founder and Director

Paula has been practicing the art of massage for more than 25 years. Her skilled approach to bodywork is informed by many years of study of a wide range of healing arts and is marked by her warm, caring personality. Paula’s interest in the healing arts began with learning about aromatherapy, reflexology, and body treatments. After studying and receiving kinesiology therapy, she crossed paths with Master FaXiang Hou, a fifth-generation healing QiGong Master. He had just moved to the U.S. from China and was offering applied QiGong therapy sessions. Paula received many sessions before beginning his Level One applied QiGong therapy classes.

Paula believes her own body is a vehicle for searching, learning, and experiencing the effects of a variety of treatments and philosophies and that these discoveries enable her to truly help others. Her intention is to be a lifelong student of ayurveda; herbal therapies; auricular therapy; and the connections between the subtle body, the emotions, the physical body, and health. She is also a proponent of the benefits of raw living foods, cold pressed juices, spagyrics, essential oils, herbs, and panchakarma.

Through massage and esogetic colorpuncture, Paula works with her clients to help them find their way back to harmony, awareness, balance, and wellness. In her words, “I enjoy watching the many remarkable ways their eyes have more light, the softening of their skin, contagious smiles, and how they want to be empowered with knowledge to apply for themselves. I feel honored to guide them along the way.”

Paula shares her life with her son and her six other feathered and four-legged children.

Healing Modalities We Offer

Access Bars

Access Bars, created by Gary Douglas (founder of Access Consciousness), involves the activation of 32 points or “bars” around the head by light touch, which deletes or releases thought patterns that no longer serve a person―patterns involving all areas of one's life (healing, body, control, awareness, creativity, power, aging, money, and more). Each bar is associated with different aspects of one’s life, and each one stores the electromagnetic component of all the thoughts, ideas, attitudes, decisions, and beliefs that a person has ever had about anything. By touching each bar or a combination of bars, the solidified thoughts, feelings, and emotions associated with that aspect of one’s life can be released, and something new can arise.

AromaTouch Technique

The AromaTouch Technique is an essential oil application to the back and the feet. This technique works to restore homeostasis to keep the body at its optimal level by applying the oils along the energy meridians and visceral contact points on the back. Each essential oil in the AromaTouch Technique was selected for its individual aromatic properties, and for their aromatic properties when combined. The aroma is soothing, light, and pleasant to the senses. A clinical approach to essential oil application, the AromaTouch Technique helps with stress reduction, immune support, inflammation, pain and fatigue.

This type of massage is used to treat particular musculoskeletal disorders, complaints and employs a dedicated set of techniques and strokes to achieve a measure of relief. It should not be confused with "deep pressure” massage, which is one that is performed with sustained strong, occasionally intense pressure throughout an entire full-body session. Deep tissue massage is applied to both the superficial and deep layers of muscles, fascia, and other structures.

Esogetic Colorpuncture

The originator of Colorpuncture is a German scientist and naturopath named Peter Mandel. Esogetic Colorpuncture involves focusing colored light on acupuncture (and other) points on the skin in order to energize powerful healing impulses in our physical and energy bodies. Esogetic Colorpuncture uses light to heal. Light is subtle in effect, moves fast, and penetrates deeply into all the cells of the body. In a treatment, frequencies of colored light are focused on the skin using a hand-held acu-light tool with specially designed, handmade interchangeable glass rods that emit different colors of light through a focused tip. Each color consists of different wavelength frequencies of light and therefore communicates different energetic information. As the light is absorbed by the skin and transmitted along energetic pathways or meridians deep into the body, it stimulates intracellular communication, which supports healing.

Reconnective Healing

Reconnective Healing (RH) is the optimal state of balance that can be achieve by interacting with full RH spectrum of frequencies that consist of energy, light, and information, that are now available to us from the universe. These energies were first experienced by Dr. Eric Pearl over 20 years ago when he began accessing them after a near death experience. Energy exists in everything, and light provides the mode of communication between the Universe (Source, God, etc) and matter. Information is carried by that light to interact with our being, and helps (reset or recalibrate) ourselves to optimal health and well-being. There are many international studies that have been conducted on RH work that show that not only are the frequencies measurable, but that they impact our DNA and positively impact our mental, emotional, spiritual and physical bodies. There is no diagnosis or treatment with RH, and most times one only needs 1-3 sessions to achieve results. The participant receiving RH work is the one dictating what they would like to achieve in their sessions, and this is communicated on a soul level with the Universe/Source with no input or manipulation by the facilitator. There are no rituals, initiations, or attunement with this modality, and once one has experienced the frequencies, they can utilize them at any time, and access the frequencies in working with others as well.

Reiki is a Japanese healing art founded by Mikao Usui. It is done fully clothed, and it is noninvasive and nonmanipulative. During a session, the pure flow of energy is realigned within the body. It washes down, clearing obstructions and strengthening the flow of energy. Clients will draw only the amount of energy that is needed. The purpose of a session is to support healing. This is the benefit of receiving Reiki energy. Although it is impossible to predict a definitive outcome, all illnesses, conditions, and diseases can be helped with Reiki, whether physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. Benefits may include mental clarity, pain relief, deep relaxation, decreased stress levels, and improved sleep, among countless other possible advantages. The number of sessions varies by the individual’s needs. Generally, it is recommended to start with three one-hour sessions
